Further to a successful visit to the China-Britain Business Council’s Annual Summer Reception and the subsequent decision to become corporate members of the CBBC, Schoolgate Accounting Services’ ‘China Desk’ is now fully operational at their head office in Wimbledon.
CLIENT MEETING WITH SCHOOLGATE DIRECTORS
Chinese foreign direct investment into the UK doubled year-on-year in 2017 to a record high of £15.9 billion. Luda Beanland, Schoolgate’s Managing Director said, “with the UK wanting to attract more trade and investment from China once it leaves the EU, we see this as an excellent time to expand our offering and provide bespoke support to Chinese companies expanding in the UK, and entrepreneurs looking to start a business here.”
The desk will be headed by Annie Qian, Schoolgate’s International Director, who is originally from Shanghai, with support from Senior Accountant Andrew Sun ACCA.
Annie Qian commented, “Schoolgate prides itself on quality of service and in particular understands the importance of cultural sensitivity when dealing with business partners from overseas. Building on the experience of our successful Russia Desk, we are looking forward to increasing our contact with Chinese businesspeople and helping many more to expand in the UK.”
